Mallory Square

If you visit Key West there's plenty you don't have to do. But there'sat least one or two things you do have to do; (1) Relax and (2) Visit Mallory Square. It's the center of Key West's historic waterfront and the site of the much talked about spectacular sunsets.

Everybody gathers an hour or so before sunset each day and while they wait for the sun to set, they're entertained by the variety of free performers. You'll see fire eaters, mimes, musicians, jugglers and artists along with some "eccentric" types that don't really fall into any category. We ran across a man that brought his family of five cats. The cats just lounged around and near them he had propped up a sign that read, "I will work for cat food". And of course a jar for donations. (Have you ever tried to get a cat to do anything, let alone work?) Everything occurs on the Mallory Square Pier which is right off of Wall Street. Check it out. You'll always see something interesting.

Can these kitties paint my garage?
