The
Comforts of the Comfort Inn One
of the first things you'll
want to find when you come to Key West is (no, not a bar, okay, maybe) is a place
to stay. It's easy. Go to the Comfort Inn®.
Ideally
located near the southernmost point in the United States, the Comfort Inn®
provides a relaxing and inviting atmosphere close to all that Key West offers.
The Comfort Inn® is minutes away from many of the area's most popular attractions
including the Key West Aquarium, the Hemingway House, Mallory Square, Duval Street
and the Curry Mansion. And the Key
West Old Town Trolley that takes you on a tour of the Island and all the aforementioned,
is just next door, only a few steps away. I
had the pleasure of staying in a suite on the top floor. My room came with a king-sized
bed and an ample living/kitchen area. The living area consisted of a cushy pull
out couch (perfect for traveling families or friends looking to cut down on expenses
and bunk in together). Included in all the rooms are coffee makers with free coffee,
curved shower rods, hair dryers, desks, safes, irons, ironing boards and cable
television. (Don't you hate when you forget your ironing board?) The kitchenette
in the suite has a nice bar area and bar stools to sit and relax before going
out on the town.
But
it was the view from the room that was so spectacular! Waking up in Key West and
looking out
onto the beautiful surrounding waters of the Gulf of Mexico was just amazing.
It's uncanny how easy it is to get used to that kind of lifestyle; get up when
you feel like it, look at gorgeous scenery and have your biggest daily dilemma
be whether to see Hemingway's House or go for a three-hour snorkeling trip. And
of course - Bloody Mary or Pina Colada? And all the rooms are great.
This six-story resort features 145 newly appointed deluxe guest rooms, all of
which either overlook the Gulf of Mexico or the outdoor heated swimming pool.
The pool is surrounded by lush tropical greenery and its perimeters are accented
by spurting fountains. A dip in the pool is the perfect beginning, end (or middle)
to a rough day of shopping, drinking, and sightseeing. Poolside, you'll also find
the resort's own watering hole, Splash. Here you can refresh yourself with a cool
drink before once again resuming the arduous task of sunbathing or lounging. The
resort also features free fax/computer hookups in the room, and there's even a
fitness center on the premises should you feel the need. Or the guilt. But
wait there's more! So let's recap all the fabulous amenities, and then some,
offered at the Comfort Inn®: Rooms
with kitchenettes, refrigerators, coffee machines, safes, hair dryers, ironing board
and irons Free
breakfast with hot waffles Free wireless high-speed Internet access
Free weekday newspaper Outdoor heated pool with poolside bar
Fitness center Scooter rentals On-site tour desk
And,
for added convenience, laundry facilities, a newsstand and a coffee shop are located
on the premises. Ample free parking is provided and can accommodate most vehicles.
Denny's restaurant, located just downstairs, is open 24/7 for your convenience
as well. The
Comfort Inn®
is a also a great place to host your next business meeting, function, or wedding
reception (up to 100 people). Mona Lisa Rainer is the Director of Sales
and Marketing and a joy to do business with. She's ready to help you accommodate
any group travel plans or special events you may want the resort to host. Her
staff is friendly, helpful and really makes you feel at home.
